Health & Safety Module

Built-in "Fit to Play" questionnaires, emergency contacts, and medical info. Safety is not optional.

Fit to Play β€” Game Day Health Check

Before every game, parents complete a quick "Fit to Play" health check for each player in their household. The event detail screen shows a Health tab listing every child with a "Complete" button. The questionnaire asks two simple yes/no questions β€” one about injuries and concussion symptoms, one about contagious illness β€” with an optional notes field for additional context. Coaches see at a glance who has been cleared and who has not, so no player takes the field without a current health status.

Allergy Alerts & Coach Safety View

When a parent reports an allergy during registration β€” selecting from common allergens like Peanut, Tree Nut, Dairy, Egg, and more, or adding a custom allergy β€” that information flows directly to the coach's view of the player's profile. Severe allergies display in a prominent red warning card with the specific allergen highlighted, along with the parent's safety instructions (such as "Do not give snacks without checking with parent"). Medical notes like "Peanut allergy β€” carries EpiPen" appear below so coaches have full context at a glance.

Medical Notes & Injury Tracking

Every player profile includes a Health & Safety section visible to coaches, showing medical notes submitted during registration or updated by parents over the season. Previous injuries, ongoing conditions, and recovery status are displayed clearly β€” such as "Previous left ankle sprain β€” fully healed" β€” so coaching staff can monitor returning players and adjust training intensity. Emergency contacts with tap-to-call phone numbers are displayed right below for instant access during any incident.
